Comfort Zone…Get Out Of It !

If you want your Life to have a meaning and purpose, you must first value your life… Start Today!

Each one of us is born to be a world-class champion in a particular field of endeavour. We are bound to find that particular field.

But, by doing the same things everyday, you cannot expect to deliver new and better results! Right? You need to bring about a Change in what you do and how you do things. You must transform the way you live your life!

Changing the way you live you life means changing the way you think. Changing how you think means changing what you have come to believe or accept about your life. This is something that is very hard, so hard that even when you so desperately want to change, you prefer to hang on to the misery because it is familiar and comfortable.

Do You Believe in Yourself?

You are giving in your 101% towards something you really want to achieve or fighting for something so bad that every vein in your body is dedicated towards it and then…BHAM! Suddenly this moment amidst the blues where you suddenly feel like giving up on it. The thoughts in your head are going against  your will striving for it. “I can’t do this anymore!” …. “This is not what I really want!”…. “ Am I really giving my 101% ?”…. “ I wanna give up!”…. “ God! Why me?'”…. “Why do I have to do this?”….

Don’t let any of this get to you, it could break you! Believe in yourself! That’s what you will always…always do, right!?!? Despite what others tell you. But what matters the most is your belief system, based on your thoughts, experiences, circumstances and character, that will always help you trust your instinct or intuition or gut feeling, whatever term you prefer using. It is your inner self what makes your outer self! It is what you say to yourself that becomes. We are humans, we are bound to doubt during our rough phases in life, but that doesn’t mean we think of giving up on ourselves just because of this one rough phase. Guess what, God did not say your life is going to be smooth and easy or be the way we want it to be. “We all are perfectly imperfect!” It is the challenges and the tough times that make our lives so much more interesting.

The Turtles

turtlesA turtle family decided to go on a picnic. the turtles, being naturally slow about things, took seven years to prepare for their outing. Finally the turtle family left home looking for a suitable place. During the second year of their journey they found a place ideal for them at last!   For about six months they cleaned the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the arrangements. Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic without salt would be a disaster, they all agreed.  After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell. He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left.

Lighten Your Baggage

Once upon a time a big monk and a little monk were traveling together. They came to the bank of a river and found the bridge was damaged. They had to wade across the river. There was a pretty lady who was stuck at the damaged bridge and couldn't cross the river. The big monk offered to carry her across the river on his back. The lady accepted.  The little monk was shocked by the move of the big monk. "How can big brother carry a lady when we are supposed to avoid all intimacy with females?" thought the little monk. But he kept quiet. The big monk carried the lady across the river and the small monk followed unhappily. When they crossed the river, the big monk let the lady down and they parted ways with her.

All along the way for several miles, the little monk was very unhappy with the act of the big monk. He was making up all kinds of accusations about big monk in his head. This got him madder and madder. But he still kept quiet. And the big monk had no inclination to explain his situation.

Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us - it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Marianne Williamson - Used by Nelson Mandela in his inaugural speech, 1994.

FEAR? What's that?

Have you ever felt that you could do so much more with your life and your talents if you could just overcome fear? What is it that you are truly afraid of and how is it keeping you from getting what you really want? What if you could overcome it this year? What kind of momentum could you create in your life? If you are interested in mastering fear for good and getting what you are truly after in your life, you are about to learn the key which can lead you where you want to go.

The first step is to define what you are afraid of. Too often, we try to master fear by not confronting it and trying to deny it or cover it up. The very principle of fear is that it keeps you from meeting something head on. If you refuse to meet fear head on and continue to try and bypass it, it is going to continue to grow independent of your interference. Sit down and clearly write out what it is that you are afraid of.

Fears- Face Them

It’s human nature to be guided by our fears, this inbuilt fear has ensured the survival of humankind for millions of years. Without fear, we may not have survived to be who we are today, but this same inbuilt survival mechanism, can also limit our true potential in life for financial success, or to follow our dreams. Many of our fears are adopted during our childhood, or even later in life through our normal life experiences. The way we interpret and analyse these experiences & the emotional response we attach to these experiences, will determine how much fear prevents us from putting ourselves in the way of that situation again.

Overcoming fear in not easy, fear is a powerful & not a very pleasant emotion, but in our lives, too much fear will prevent us from not only trying new things, but may prevent us from trying again if things do not work out the way we would have liked the first time. In life, there is no failure or rejection, there is just feedback. If we try something new, & things do not work out the way we had hoped, that doesn't mean we have failed, we have just received some feedback on how to do it better next time.
