Comfort Zone…Get Out Of It !

If you want your Life to have a meaning and purpose, you must first value your life… Start Today!

Each one of us is born to be a world-class champion in a particular field of endeavour. We are bound to find that particular field.

But, by doing the same things everyday, you cannot expect to deliver new and better results! Right? You need to bring about a Change in what you do and how you do things. You must transform the way you live your life!

Changing the way you live you life means changing the way you think. Changing how you think means changing what you have come to believe or accept about your life. This is something that is very hard, so hard that even when you so desperately want to change, you prefer to hang on to the misery because it is familiar and comfortable.

The Power of Listening

active-listeningMany of us underestimate the power of listening. We talk more than we listen!

Why? We all want to be heard and understood. Right? To do so, we need to have the knowledge and knowledge comes only when we become good listeners. Agree?

A person speaking needs to feel that he or she is heard and understood. They need to have a response when one is asked for. As humans the very nature of being understood and heard is connected to our sense of self worth. When you are speaking, you have something of value to say and you want to say it to contribute and to be heard. If you are not listened to or even ignored, it hurts and often affects your self esteem.

Drawing Good Into Your Life

Feeling good Wallpaper__yvt2  At some point in your life, you’ve likely encountered a circumstance you’d like to change. Maybe you want a different job, to meet someone special, or to pursue online training so you can finish your degree. Being conscious about what you want and need is an important step in following the Law of Attraction, a metaphysical thought process based on the notion that like attracts like. Asking the universe for gifts is one thing. Empowering change based solely on the way you think is another.

Made popular recently by the book and movie, The Secret, the Law of Attraction can work if you know how to work with its energy. Operating under the belief that what you put into the universe comes back to you, thinking positively makes more sense. (Pay attention, pessimists!) Rather than demanding an A in that online course you’re taking, offer to help the universe.

Consistency: A True Factor of Success

why  This is where most people drop out or fail on their path to success. They give up because they get bored of what they need to do or do not have enough patience to see results. Consistency is something that needs to go hand in hand with your determination and passion.

Have you ever asked yourself WHY you do something or WHY you want to achieve that something? Focus your energy for a moment and emphasize on the reason WHY!! Once you get this clear in your mind, the rest will simply follow. Your WHY should be so big that the obstacles that come in your way start to seem so small that you can simply overcome them. Allow me to state this with a simple illustration.

Your Life Without Limits

Each and every one of us, at some point feel we can achieve so much in this Life. We are filled with positive energy flowing through our body feeling so powerful and confident. Like we can conquer the world.

But then, there also comes a moment when we feel the opposite (negative) just because we didn’t achieve that something that we struggled so hard for or we regret over a bad decision we made. We start doubting and underestimating ourselves. We start to blame ourselves for the consequences. Now let’s not say “That’s how life is !”

That is simply giving up on your hopes. Instead, take a moment, close your eyes and visualize how you want things around you to be, how you want your life to be. Change will work in your favor if you permit it to.

Be Truly Present

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been reading The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle and it really has me thinking. It’s been helping me to contemplate my life currently and how I can change it for the better. I have recently discovered that life has many options like the numerous chip choices one would find in higher end vending machines. The only thing, I as a conscious human being needs to do, is be thankful for and aware of all the beautiful things in the world around me!

The Power of Now teaches the reader how to be truly present. Whether the present moment is full of happiness, sorrow, or anger. If you are able to become truly in the moment you can learn to control your mood and enhance the outcome of the moment as a whole. Becoming truly present is an important skill to develop if you are to looking to become genuinely happy. If you are able to control your sadness and anger, as well as deeply feel your happiness, I think you are on the brink of something truly special: contentment…..

25 Ways to Raise Someone’s Energy and Your Own

In our society we are so used to the day to day interameditation[3]ctions with people who play mind games and try to influence others. Being with others and being genuinely you can be difficult when trying to navigate the world we live in. The competition for attention can be quite draining and often, after a day of continuous contact, you come home and feel completely drained instead of energized.

Creative Thinking is Essential for Success

This is a factor most often ignored by many people. Or rather not considered. I believe Creative Thinking is crucial to every aspect in life. It helps get the best out of us and gives us many different perspectives on things we would otherwise have done by the norms. Creative Thinking is being different and standing out from the crowd. If you have noticed, all the millionaires in the world are where they are today because they thought something different or did something differently.creative-thinking-room

"What matters is not what you do, but how you do it."

It sure requires courage and dedication to shine out from the rest. The focus should be on creativity, action, doing and not boredom, complaining, or idleness.

It is nothing but taking the efforts in materializing your goals blended in with your creative juices. A person with a positive attitude sees the positive side of all situations. He or she is optimistic about the future and hence is able to take responsibility for their actions. A positive mental attitude stresses joy and discovery over sadness & depression.

The Four Principles of Spirituality

1. Whomsoever you encounter is the right one

This means that no one comes into our life by chance. Everyone who is around us, anyone with whom we interact, represents something, whether to teach us something or to help us improve a current situation.

2. Whatever happened is the only thing that could have happened

Nothing, absolutely nothing of that which we experienced could have been any other way. Not even in the least important detail. There is no “If only I had done that differently…, then it would have been different…”. No. What happened is the only thing that could have taken place and must have taken place for us to learn our lesson in order to move forward. Every single situation in life which we encounter is absolutely perfect, even when it defies our understanding and our ego.

Do You Believe in Yourself?

You are giving in your 101% towards something you really want to achieve or fighting for something so bad that every vein in your body is dedicated towards it and then…BHAM! Suddenly this moment amidst the blues where you suddenly feel like giving up on it. The thoughts in your head are going against  your will striving for it. “I can’t do this anymore!” …. “This is not what I really want!”…. “ Am I really giving my 101% ?”…. “ I wanna give up!”…. “ God! Why me?'”…. “Why do I have to do this?”….

believe_small1

Don’t let any of this get to you, it could break you! Believe in yourself! That’s what you will always…always do, right!?!? Despite what others tell you. But what matters the most is your belief system, based on your thoughts, experiences, circumstances and character, that will always help you trust your instinct or intuition or gut feeling, whatever term you prefer using. It is your inner self what makes your outer self! It is what you say to yourself that becomes. We are humans, we are bound to doubt during our rough phases in life, but that doesn’t mean we think of giving up on ourselves just because of this one rough phase. Guess what, God did not say your life is going to be smooth and easy or be the way we want it to be. “We all are perfectly imperfect!” It is the challenges and the tough times that make our lives so much more interesting.

Reveal The Person You Really Are

You are out there at a social gathering or a get-together and your having a really nice time interacting with the new people you’ve just met, indulging in some great conversations and after a while they ask, “So, what do you do?”

Your answer to this simple question reveals an incredible amount about your personal sense of identity.

When faced with the question, “What do you do?” most people automatically respond by talking about their 9 to 5 occupation. The problem with this response is that it immediately defines you in terms of your job and places you in a pigeon hole that is often filled with stereo types associated with your profession. Is that who you really are?

Let me give you an example, Jessica is a marketing executive who is working at an MNC. However, her real passion in life is painting. When she is not working, she spends most of her time painting. For a long time, whenever someone asked “So Jessica, what do you do?”, Jessica’s response was, “Oh, I’m a marketing executive.” The person she was speaking to then asked about what it was like working as a marketing executive. And before she realized, she was talking about her boring mundane job.

The Turtles

turtlesA turtle family decided to go on a picnic. the turtles, being naturally slow about things, took seven years to prepare for their outing. Finally the turtle family left home looking for a suitable place. During the second year of their journey they found a place ideal for them at last!   For about six months they cleaned the area, unpacked the picnic basket, and completed the arrangements. Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic without salt would be a disaster, they all agreed.  After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell. He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left.

Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself

1445142314_04b4e8c3be   It is easy to spend much of your day beating up on yourself for past mistakes. We analyze that relationship that failed and relentlessly review all the things that we did wrong, or we look at that business decision that cost us so much and dwell on the things we could have done right. It is not going to get you any better. Once and for all stop being so hard on yourself. You are a human being and human beings have been designed to make mistakes. As long as you don’t keep making the same mistakes again and have a good judgment on letting your past serve you, you will be on the right track. Accept them and move on.

Many times we try to change ourselves by wanting to develop certain qualities and character that we see in others.

Lighten Your Baggage

Once upon a time a big monk and a little monk were traveling together. They came to the bank of a river and found the bridge was damaged. They had to wade across the river. There was a pretty lady who was stuck at the damaged bridge and couldn't cross the river. The big monk offered to carry her across the river on his back. The lady accepted.  The little monk was shocked by the move of the big monk. "How can big brother carry a lady when we are supposed to avoid all intimacy with females?" thought the little monk. But he kept quiet. The big monk carried the lady across the river and the small monk followed unhappily. When they crossed the river, the big monk let the lady down and they parted ways with her.

All along the way for several miles, the little monk was very unhappy with the act of the big monk. He was making up all kinds of accusations about big monk in his head. This got him madder and madder. But he still kept quiet. And the big monk had no inclination to explain his situation.

Give Time, Time

We all have heard this famous quote,”Time is the best healer.”6231367-white-clock-with-words-time-for-action-on-its-face

I want to emphasize on it’s importance.

It happens to all of us, when we are going through difficult and negative situations  in our lives, we want it to get over soon…really soon. But after it is over and done with, those memories still remain fresh in our minds to some extent and we are often reminded of those situations which only makes us feel terrible and we go into our negative zones again. Like I mentioned in the previous article,”Don’t dwell on your past”, it will only hold you back from pursuing any of your current or future events. Learn from it so you don’t make the same mistakes again and you keep moving forward.

It is only a matter of time that our (negative) past events fade away from our minds. For some, it may take a month, maybe longer,

Finding Your Life's Purpose

“Your time is limited; don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs

In essence, nearly all people work towards an ultimate goal towards being happy in life. With such a simple and beautiful thought that can help you achieve your dreams and ambitions, why is it that being happy is still a farfetched idea for some of us?
Often we convince ourselves that life will be better after we have graduated from college, or sincerely dedicated ourselves to a job that we truly enjoy, or get married and so on – the cycle can be endless. In doing so, not only are you escaping from the beauty of the small moments life has to offer, but you are delaying your happiness – from experiencing blissful happiness right now AND even in the future!

Sit back. Close your eyes. Breathe. Think again.

Opinions Don't matter

It doesn’t matter what other people think of you. All that matters is what you think of yourself. We waste so much energy worrying about the opinions of others, wanting to be liked and accepted and needing to please. Going by other’s opinions restricts us to being who we really are. We go into this world where we become slaves of others by letting their opinions control us. Real personal mastery is all about rising above social approval... to self-approval.

Respect Yourself.

Respect yourself for who you really are. Listen to your heart and mind. Live in your own world, not other’s. Make a promise to yourself to close doors to other’s opinions, of course not to all but to where it does not apply. Living by your values, being authentic, running your own race and doing your own dreams will help define your true character. You will not only feel confident but also be proud of yourself and gain more respect from others.

Why worry what anyone else thinks or feels or says anything about you or your dreams. Remember, Success isn’t a popularity contest. And at the end of each day, what matters most is whether you were true to yourself.

Stay open minded.

Commit to Reading

How often do you find yourself reading an interesting book that changes your way of thinking? Or rather motivates you to do something you have never done before? Doesn't it feel great when we get ourselves into that reading mode, our whole perspective changes and the speed at which thoughts run in our heads trying to get in sync with different authors trying to understand what they want to convey.

Reading is something we all do on a daily basis, but what matters is what you read. Does it affect you in any way? If so, how?

Thank You

Thank You are two words that have the power to change your Life as well as others too.  In today's busy World, we very rarely take the time to stop and say thank you which and that is unfortunate because as Mother Teresa simply puts it …

"There is more hunger for love and appreciation in this world than for bread.”
                                                                                      -Mother Teresa

We are human beings, we all have emotions and we all have that deep desire to be recognized and appreciated for what we do.  Going a little out of the way to say these two precious words will cause no harm but will only make the other person feel recognized, appreciated and you also automatically put yourself in alignment with how grateful you are for the people and things around you. Here’s a small story one of  my close friends shared with me that changed my perspective. (in his very own words)

Take Action

It's an irony- we all want to achieve our goals but we don't want to take action. Instead we just keep procrastinating giving ourselves more time to doubt.

"You want something, go get it period."

Why make things complicated when we know how simple it is. We know what we have to do, but we don't act upon it.

                                                         Why?

Consider this: While watching a movie, we get inspired by the actor's amazing six pack abs and body, we say to ourselves, "I am going on a diet from tomorrow and I will go to the gym regularly." Next day what happens, we either forget about it or we find some excuses.

This happens because we were inspired but not motivated. There is quite a difference between the two. Inspiration is a feeling usually gained from external sources, it's a feeling of excitement and a let’s do it now attitude. Inspiration leads to motivation. Where as Motivation is a push from within to take action after being inspired.
